Coming soon: 16 position number disks
Due to popular demand, Stellartone will soon fabricate plastic "number disks" to mount under the ToneStyler knob.
Once these become available, players will be able to accurately select the sixteen positions on both the notched and the smooth-rotation ToneStylers.
The Stellartone disks will be made in clear plastic, as well as in several solid color backgrounds.
As it is uncertain when this project will be completed, we are first posting a set of Adobe files showing the correct 22.5 degree angular spacing of the sixteen positions. These hi‑res 1200 dpi "layered" image files may be resized, edited, customized, or used as-is by luthiers and craftsmen who wish to fabricate or print their own custom disks, or for accurately marking pickguards & control plates.
For those considering using number plates on their guitars, the best knob types are "chicken head" pointer knobs; next best are white-line J-Bass type knobs, or knobs with a single jewel or arrow. Completely blank push-on knobs won't work, as there are no reference marks to align with the number disk markings. However, the set-screw on blank P-Bass and Tele knobs can be used as the pointer.
